Graduate Student Opportunities and Information

We've assembled a list of resources on this page that may be helpful to stay connected with NMU, fund your education, explore Marquette and more.

If you were unable to find the information you were looking for, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist you. We can be reached at 906-227-2300 or graduate@nmu.edu.

Reminder: Northern Michigan University uses a student’s NMU email account as its primary means of communicating official university business, including legally required information. As a condition of enrollment, all NMU students are required to use their assigned NMU email accounts to receive communication from the university.

College of Graduate Studies and Research Trainings

Our department regularly covers topics like thesis formatting and submission, research compliance, grant funding, and how to present research. Trainings are usually 1 hour long and light refreshments are provided.

The Graduate College also organizes a research competition (Three Minute Thesis) and Celebration of Student Scholarship annually. You can find out more about each event on their respective webpages.
