Mission
Statement
The Walker L. Cisler College of
Business at Northern Michigan University provides high-quality
business programs. The cornerstone of this mission is a
commitment to teaching/learning excellence which provides our
students an opportunity for successful careers.
Aspirations/Goals
The following aspirations/goals
represent areas where the College of Business emphasizes
continuous improvement:

Pursue high standards of quality in
the teaching/learning process for baccalaureate and associate
degree students.

Pursue instructional and applied
research which contributes to the teaching/learning environment
as well as the practice and expansion of faculty disciplines.

Offer baccalaureate programs which
foster intellectual curiosity, leadership, ethical behavior, and
global awareness; provide quality program content knowledge; and
develop problem solving, decision making, and communication
abilities.

issues and world cultures.
