Research Analyst Minor

The research analyst minor is a concentration of courses that provides the basic skills needed to enter the labor market as a research analyst.  It is intended for students majoring in the social science, human services or business and seeking employment that requires up-to-date skills in survey research, data analysis, interviewing, report-presentation, and report writing.

Equivalent courses to substitute for any of the above courses must be approved by the student's minor advisor.  The minor advisor will be assigned by the Sociology and Social Work Department.

It may happen in some cases that a student will take a course for their major that is the equivalent to one of the above.  If this happens, the student and their minor advisor will identify a substitute course to be used in the minor since the same course cannot count toward both a student's major and minor.
