behavior cluster minor. See the Liberal
Studies or Academic Standards, Polices and Degree Requirements in this
bulletin. ++Social Work Services Minor The
social work service minor includes 24 credit hours selected in consultation
with a social work faculty advisor meeting these criteria: At least 4 but not more than 8

level or above; 16 - 20 credits from other
disciplines relevant to a field of social work service. Actual

Research Analyst Minor
|
|
The research analyst minor is a
concentration of courses that provides the basic skills needed to enter the
labor market as a research analyst. It
is intended for students majoring in the social science, human services or
business and seeking employment that requires up-to-date skills in survey
research, data analysis, interviewing, report-presentation, and report
writing. |

Equivalent
courses to substitute for any of the above courses must be approved by the
student's minor advisor. The minor
advisor will be assigned by the Sociology and Social Work Department. It may happen in some cases that a student will take a course for their major that is the equivalent to one of the above. If this happens, the student and their minor advisor will identify a substitute course to be used in the minor since the same course cannot count toward both a student's major and minor. |
|
Gerontology Minor
|
|
Students interested in taking the
gerontology minor should declare it by the second semester of their junior
year, have a plan of study approved by the gerontology program coordinator,
and have it forwarded to the Degree Audits Office. |
