For Mentors
- Share your time management successes with your mentee.
- Spend some time with your mentee going over your school's recordkeeping system. Make suer s/he has the appropriate passwords for computer access.
- Let your mentee know what materials and supplies come from general funds, from department funds, or classroom funds. Outline the process for requesting new items not on any list.
- Identify any creative financing you've done to get new items in your own classroom.

- Actively seek funding from grants or foundations to bolster your coffers. Support your teachers in their efforts to bring additional funds into their classrooms.
- Provide concise budgets for each teacher so they can effectively plan for expenses.
- Make sure each teacher knows how to access and use the school's recordkeeping system.
- Distribute copies of the school's student recordkeeping policies to your staff, as well as a clear indication of the schools policies regarding confidentiality.
