Delegation Attends Lilly North

Northern Michigan University faculty and staff members attended
the Lilly North Conference on College Teaching in Traverse City
Sept. 24-26.
Invited
speakers were Patricia Hogan and Mary Jane
Tremethick (HPER), who presented "Collaboratories:
Using Problem Based Learning to Foster Learning Community";
and Kathy Saville (Instructional Technology),
who presented "Communication In An On-line Course."
Other presenters were MaeBelle Kessel (Nursing)
with "The Introduction of Simulations in the Nursing Laboratory
Setting"; Barb Coleman, Patricia Hogan
and Mary Jane Tremethick (HPER) with "Promoting
Integrative Learning Through Electronic Learning Portfolio";
Mary Ellen Powers (Nursing) with "Designing
and Implementing a Community Service Learning Experience";
and Lisa Flood (Nursing) with "Three
Ways to Use the VARK Learning Preference Questionnaire."
