David Dodd Lee to Give Reading
Nationally recognized
poet David Dodd Lee will give a reading at Northern Michigan University
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, in the Huron Room of the University
Center.
Nominated nine times
for the Pushcart Prize, Lee has taught at writing conferences
across the country. His work has appeared in more than 20 sources,
including four times in Passages North, a literary magazine
for which he once served as an editor.
Lee is the author of
four books of poetry— Downsides of Fish Culture, Wilderness,
Arrow Pointing North and Abrupt Rural. He is
the editor of SHADE, an annual anthology of poetry and
fiction, and has made several contributions to the Kalamazoo
Gazette.
Born in Massachusetts
and raised for a time in Muskegon, Mich., Lee received an MFA
in creative writing and a BFA in painting from Western Michigan
University. He now teaches creative writing at Indiana University
South Bend.
