ROTC/Nursing Trauma Simulation
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY:
NMU's ROTC Program will be conducting their 3rd Annual Trauma Lab with the Nursing Department on Friday, February 26, 3:00pm - 6:30 pm. The event will be located just outside the Seaborg Center between West Science Hall and Jamrich Hall.
Please be aware that this event will have simulated casualties with realistic looking wounds, loud noises simulating combat, and students will be evacuating simulated casualties. Students will work together to perform first aid on triage victims (manikins). The manikins will then be transported into the Nursing labs in West Science to complete the simulation and training.
In addition to this announcement, there will be several signs on location indicating that this is ONLY a simulation and that there is no real emergency. This simulation has been coordinated with Public Safety, Facilities, and local law enforcement to notify them of this event.
