FORMAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
NORTHERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY – Marquette, Michigan

A. Minutes:
1. That the minutes of the December 9, 2016, meeting of the Board be approved.
B. Property and Finance:
1. That the resolution of the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University authorizing the one-day event liquor licenses as follows be approved:

2. That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approve the parking, pedestrian, utility line, party wall, and encroachment agreement for a portion of the Art and Design Building constructed in 2005 as part of the Fine and Practical Arts Project. A copy of the agreement and resolution is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
3. That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approve the conveyance of property for the Heating Plant and Art Annex from the State Building Authority to Northern Michigan University. A copy of the resolution is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
4. That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approve the property transfers from NMU to the city of Marquette, for additional right-of-way road construction and sidewalk installation at the intersections of Presque Isle/Fair Avenue, Wright Street/Tracy Avenue, and along the north side of Wright Street between Sugar Loaf Avenue and Industrial Parkway. A copy of the legal descriptions are on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
5. That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approve the access easement agreement, related to the new City Service Center, between NMU and the City of Marquette. A copy of the agreement is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
6. That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approve the acceptance of the Marquette Branch Prison property from the State Administrative Board to NMU. A copy of the legal description is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
C. Special Items:
1. That the Resolution to support the Planning for Distinction process, whereby Northern Michigan University has initiated a comprehensive analysis and review of university resource allocations and effectiveness, be approve. A copy of the Resolution is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
