C.     Degrees:

 

1.      That the May 2017 final list of graduates and the August 2017 preliminary list of graduates, be approved.  A copy of the lists is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

 

D.     Property and Finance:

 

1.      Northern Michigan University’s Facilities Five-Year Master Plan, as required by the Department of Management and Budget, and the 2018-2019 Capital Outlay Project Request, be approved.  A copy of the plan and the project request is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

2.      The Fiscal Year 2018 Long-Term Maintenance Project List be approved.  A copy is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

3.      That the 2017-18 General Fund Operating Budget be approved.  A copy of the budget is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

4.      That the 2017-18 Designated Fund Operating Budget be approved.  A copy of the budget is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

5.      Confirming the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University approval for the upcoming academic year Technology, Learning, and Communication (TLC) notebook program annual replacement of 1,399 ThinkPad Twist model 2K4 notebooks with 1,375 ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 5s (to include warranty, engineering services, software imaging, and shipping costs) and a maximum quantity of 298 MacBook Pro models.

 

 

E.     Special Items:

 

1.      That the addition of an Outstanding Global Campus Student Award be added to the NMU Board of Trustees Student Achievement Awards that are given annually to recognize students for their significant contributions to the quality of life at NMU, effective the 2017-18 academic year, be approved.

 

2.      That the Division of Advancement be renamed the “Northern Michigan University Foundation,” effective immediately.

 

3.      That Classroom 224 in the Lydia M. Olson Library, Edgar L. Harden Learning Resources Center, be named the “Bobbie Marie Henderson, ’75 Classroom,” effective October 26, 2017.

 

4.      That the resolution of the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University authorizing the one-day event liquor license be approved:
