A.     Minutes:


 1.     That the minutes of the September 21, 2018 and October 17, 2018 meetings of the Board be approved.


B.     Personnel Actions: 




1.          Winn, Robert J., Dean, College of Arts and Sciences, effective January 1, 2019.  (Transfer from Interim Dean to Dean)




1.          Dr. Patricia I. Hogan be granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Health and Human Performance, effective January 1, 2019.


C.     Degrees:


1.          The August 2018 final list of graduates and the December 2018 preliminary list of graduates be approved. A copy of the lists are on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.


D.     Property and Finance:


1.     That pursuant to the State of Michigan Public Act 152, Northern Michigan University will continue to be an 80/20 Employer.


E.     Special Items:


1.     That the following building names be approved:


·       The current New Science Facility be renamed the “Kathleen Shingler Weston Hall”

·       The current Edgar L. Harden Learning Resource Center be renamed the “Elizabeth and Edgar Harden Hall”

·       The atrium of the current New Science Facility be named the “David J. Lucas Atrium”


2.     That the Academic Calendars for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 be approved as attached.


3.     That the resolution for the transfer of a Class C liquor license from the NMU Golf Course to a restaurant in the Don H. Bottum University Center, be approved.  A copy of the Resolution is on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.


4.     That the resolution of the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University authorizing the one-day event liquor license be approved:
