1.          The December 2019 final list of graduates and the May 2020 preliminary list of graduates be approved.  A copy of the lists are on file with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

 

D.     Property and Finance:

 

1.          That the following Capital and Long-Term Maintenance Project with a total cost over $250,000 be approved:

 

Parking Lots 4 and 5 Repair and Resurface

$410,000

 

2.          That the applications for the Michigan Council on Arts and Cultural Affairs grants for the Emergency Relief Funds to support power and utility expenses for WNMU-TV and WNMU-FM, be approved.

 

3.          That the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University confirm approval for the upcoming academic year Technology, Learning, and Communication (TLC) notebook program annual purchase of 1,700 additional ThinkPad T495s, model 20QJ (to include warranty, engineering services, software imaging, and shipping costs) and 150 Apple MacBook Pros, model Z0W4.

 

E.     Special Items:

 

1.          That Dr. Gary J. Brunswick be named the Sam M. Cohodas Professor, effective July 1, 2020.

 

2.          That the following students receive the 2020 Board of Trustees Student Achievement Award:

4.          That Northern Michigan University reauthorize (renew) the following Charter School Academies:

 

·       J.K. Lumsden Bahweting Public School Academy for a term of five years commencing July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025.

 

·       Nah Tah Wahsh Public School Academy for a term which does not exceed two years (with an opportunity to add not more than three additional years upon satisfying contractual obligations as established by the CSO Director) commencing July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022.

 

If all criteria set forth in the contract are met, the Charter Schools Officer will make a recommendation to the President to further extend the contract for an additional three years (through June 30, 2025).
