 1.     That the minutes of the May 5, 2023 meeting of the Board be approved.

B.     Personnel Actions: 

Appointments:

1. Mandeville, Elizabeth, Assistant Professor, Biology Department, a tenure-track appointment, effective August 23, 2023.  (New Appointment)

2. Milkie, Jane M., Associate Dean / Director – School of Art and Design, a five-year appointment, effective July 1, 2023.  (Transfer)

3. Shevy, Mark Delmar, Department Head, Communication and Media Studies Department, a five-year appointment, effective July 1, 2023.  (Transfer)

4. Warren, Leslie A., Interim Associate Provost / Dean – Library Information Services, a one-year appointment, effective July 1, 2023.  (Contract Extension)

5. Wood, David H., Department Head, English Department, a five-year appointment, effective July 1, 2023.  (Transfer)

C.     Special Items:

1. The following donation be approved:  Equipment from Medibio Limited valued at $14,820, to be accepted through the NMU Foundation for the NMU Department of Psychological Science:

This gift was approved by the NMU Gift Acceptance Committee on December 13, 2022, and the NMU Foundation Board of Trustees on May 19, 2023.

2. That the following program name changes be approved:

· The Applied Sports and Exercise Psychology Master of Science be renamed “Applied Sports Psychology, Master of Science”

· The Cosmetology Hair Culturist program be renamed Natural Hair Cultivation
