The grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Economic Development Job Training (EDJT) Program, to train 142 employees of American Eagle Airlines, Inc. in the area of Aviation Maintenance, in the amount of $100,000, with a $374,500 cash and in-kind match from American Eagle, for a total award of $474,500, for the period April 1, 2005 through June 30, 2007, under the direction of Mr. Joseph Holman.
13. The State of Michigan, Department of Treasury, Student Financial Aid Awards, for the period July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, in the amount of $8,992 for the Adult Part-Time Grant; $63,014 for the Michigan Educational Opportunity Grant; $207,509 for the Michigan Work-Study Undergraduate Program; and $5,000 for the Michigan Work-Study Graduate Program, all under the direction of Ms. Connie Millar.
14. The grant from the U.S. Department of Education, to establish a math and science institute for Upward Bound students, in the amount of $280,279, for the period November 1, 2005 through October 31, 2006, under the direction of Ms. Stacy Schwenke.
15. The Radio Community Service grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, in the amount of $208,735, for the period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2007, under the direction of Mr. Eric Smith.
16. The Gender Development in Infants and Toddlers grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, to develop and pilot test measures for exploring gender development in children under the age of three (3) years, in the amount of $67,500, for the period September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006, under the direction of Dr. Maya Sen.
17. The Television Local Service grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, for WNMU-TV, in the amount of $36,106, for the period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2007, under the direction of Mr. Eric Smith.
18. The Television Interconnection grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, for WNMU-TV, in the amount of $13,424, for the period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, under the direction of Mr. Eric Smith.
19. The agreement between the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and Northern Michigan University to conduct avian counts among predetermined transects throughout Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, in the amount of $18,000, for the period September 15, 2005 through May 31, 2008, under the direction of Dr. John Bruggink.

Emeritus Status:
1. That Dr. Duane Fowler be granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Physics, effective January 1, 2006.
2. That Dr. Carol A. Johnson be granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Business, effective January 1, 2006.
3. That Dr. Katherine Payant be granted the status of Professor Emeritus of English, effective January 1, 2006.
4. That Dr. John Renfrew be granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Psychology, effective January 1, 2006.

D. Degrees:
1. That Mr. Peter Reijula ‘76, President, Foodservice Business, McCain Foods USA, Inc., Lisle, Illinois, receive an Honorary Degree, Doctor of Business, at the December 2005 Commencement Ceremony. Mr. Reijula will also be the Commencement Speaker.
