Winter Driving Safety

This 20-minute learning module is intended to describe tips and techniques to support safe driving in the Winter.   Upon completing this course, you will have had exposure to tips and techniques to prepare your car for winter driving, the safest way to steel, accelerate, and braking in wintery conditions, and will receive suggestions for effectively handling accidents and other emergency situations.

This course will introduce participants to the foster parent experience in Michigan.

The U.P. Immigration Experience

Based on a 2018 exhibit by NMU's Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, The U.P. Immigration Experience, this course explores various aspects of immigration to the Upper Peninsula in the late 19th and 20th century.  It discusses what drove immigrants to choose the Upper Peninsula as a home, the challenges they faced, and the pieces of culture they brought with them. In addition, it features the stories of more recent immigrants of the Upper Peninsula, and how their experiences are similar or different from those who came before.
