University Vehicle Coloring and Lettering Policy - Equal Opportunity

To maintain color and logo uniformity of all university owned vehicles.

This policy applies to all university service vehicles.

It is the policy of Northern Michigan University, in order to maintain color and logo uniformity, that all university owned vehicles must be in accordance with university approved standards.

University Vehicle Signage

All university vehicles, whether purchased new or used, shall have an exterior color of forest green before being put into use, unless otherwise approved in writing by the Division Vise President. This does not include vehicles available from the transportation department for employees and faculty to use for university business, faculty led field trips or athletic team use.

Color code for repaint vehicles: Centari 44778 (DuPont Product)

All university service vehicles will have the university logo depicted on both the right and left front doors. These logos are to be ordered through Plant Operations and installed by NMU mechanics. Below is an example of the logo to be used on all university service vehicles. This logo has an overall length and width of 22.5” X 11”. Font is Times New Roman and the size is 2” for University name and 1.25” for department name.

Color code for vehicle logo: Scotchcal Bright Yellow or Dark Green, in contrast to vehicle color, 3M product.
