The Faculty Buzz Sessions at NMU are a platform for faculty to quickly present their research in three slides or five minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend this biannual, interdisciplinary research event. We look forward to seeing faculty, students, staff, community members as well as researchers and learners!

Northern Michigan University and the American Red Cross are hosting an upcoming blood drive.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

The NMU Jazz Combo is bringing their talent to the library! Come listen to musicians Owen Edwards on the alto sax, Garrett Peacock on the tenor sax, Ethan Matteson on the guitar, Oskar Martinez on the bass, and Ryan Wilson on the drums.
The event takes place on November 30th, 2021 at 2pm on the main floor of the Lydia M. Olson Library. If you are not able to attend, you can listen in to the livestream on the library's Facebook.

The NMU Nursing program's Wildpups are back again! This event offers a volunteer opportunity to take part in research to grow the field of Assisted Animal Therapy. There is also an option to fill out a survey to enter a drawing to win an Amazon gift card!

Join NMU alumnus and children's book author, Mylan Murphy, as he reads his book, "It Only Takes 1," and talks about motivation and determination. Recommended for ages 6-16.

Special guest, Wildcat Willy, will be available for pictures and giveaways.

Students from the McNair Scholars program and the Student Art Gallery are partnering with the Olson Library for this family-friendly Homecoming event. Students will lead storytime, games, and crafts. Students and families are welcome to attend. All ages are welcome.
