Use Cat Cash to Give Back to the NMU Food Pantry!

NMU Day of Giving

NMU

The NMU Food Pantry and NMU Dining Services have teamed up for NMU Day of Giving on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Help someone in need with what you have left! Consider sharing your remaining Dining Dollars, Cat Cash, and Cat Cash Bonus with others before 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30. By using the GET App, https://get.cbord.com/nmu, you can choose how much you want to share with the NMU Food Pantry. Click on NMU Food Pantry, Order, then choose the amount you want to share -- there are several options including $5, $20, and $100.

Dining Dollars, Cat Cash, and Cat Cash Bonus that are shared with the NMU Food Pantry will be used to purchase non perishable food items that will be available to students in need. If you know a student that may be in need of a hot meal or help with food, please refer them to the NMU Food Pantry or you may email us directly about your concern at foodpantry@nmu.edu.

We, as Indigenous people stand united through our tribal individuality, symbolically wear our moccasins, honor our ancestors, and indigenous peoples worldwide, during Rock Your Mocs and National Native American Heritage Month

Established 2011, Rock Your Mocs, is a worldwide Native American & Indigenous Peoples social media event held annually and during National Native American Heritage Month in the U.S. A.. People wear their moccasins, take a photo/video/story, add hashtag #RockYourMocs and upload to social media. This creates an online photo album for the world to see and enjoy.

Where is RYM held? Where ever you may be and wherever your day takes you or there may be an event in your community

How to join in:

- Wear your moccasins or a turquoise Awareness Ribbon or a T-shirt or organize an event

The NMU Rural Health Careers Camp is an opportunity for high school students from across the UP to experience the health professions to be ready to enter post-secondary education.  Students will experience a variety of health simulations, tour a medical facility and become CPR certified in this 3-day camp.

The mission of the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is "Connecting Students to Careers… Professionals to Communities...and Communities to Better Health." We work to carry out this mission by exposing students in health careers through education and outreach; encouraging health profession students to work in areas that
need greater access to primary care professionals, and enhancing professional development opportunities for health professionals.
