Title IX
The Title IX office coordinates investigations of sexual misconduct and gender-based discrimination. The Title IX Coordinator addresses complaints against employees, applicants, and third parties. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator addresses complaints against students.

The Counseling Center provides psychological and counseling services. The services are free to all enrolled students.

NMU Health Center
The Health Center provides comprehensive primary medical care services. The center can also guide survivors/victims to a facility that provides medical forensic exams (rape kits).

The Women's Center
The Women’s Center offers 24-hour support for people of any gender or sexual orientation who are survivors of domestic or sexual violence.

Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect
Anyone who knows, suspects, or receives information indicating that a child or teen has been abused or neglected, or who has other concerns about the safety of children or teens should report this information. Most Northern Michigan University employees and volunteers are mandated reporters who MUST inform the appropriate program administrator or one of the following organizations:
