JOBSearch Center
The JOBSearch Center
provides students and alumni with employment services both during
the time they are attending Northern (part-time jobs, internships,
etc.) and after graduation while seeking a full-time career. Since
the search for a meaningful career (which includes networking,
resume preparation, and interviewing) can be long and sometimes
challenging,
students are urged to become familiar with the JOBSearch Center
early in their college careers. Typically, students should begin
discussing post-graduation options during their sophomore years –
and the JOBSearch Center has the one-to-one assistance, workshops,
and printed materials to help. Services available include:
-
workshops and seminars, whether in scheduled classes or by
request;
-
on-campus interviews with recruiters from business, industry,
education, etc.;
-
on-line resume system where they will post your resume for you
so that employers can contact your for interviews;
-
job vacancy bulletins;
-
list of on and off campus part-time jobs;
-
co-op, internship and summer job opportunities;
-
job fairs and career awareness programs;
-
JOBOPPS – an e-mail list detailing events, services and job
information;
-
March’s summer employment job fair for students staying in the
Marquette area.
