Presentations
The following School of Education representatives gave presentations at the annual meeting of the American Education Research Association:
Rodney Clarken participated in a paper session titled "The Whole Person in Holistic Teacher Education." He also gave two individual presentations: "Seeking a Brain, Heart and Courage: On Becoming a Holistic Educator" and "Developing Spiritual Potentialities, Principles and Practices of Leadership: A Self-Study in Teacher Education."
K. C. Holder participated in a paper session titled "Practicing What We Preach: Teaching Educational Psychology for Strengthening Schools and Building Community." She also gave a presentation titled "Incidental Becomes Visible: A Comparison of School- and Community-based Field Experience Narratives."
Jeanne Lorentzen and Judy Puncochar were involved in a "Cooperative Learning: New Research" paper discussion and presented "Effects of an Assigned Leader on Structured Controversy for Gender Issues in the USA." Puncochar also participated in a paper session titled "The Real World: Students In and Out of the Classroom."
