Gerri Daniels (Admissions) gave two presentations at the National Association for College Admission Counseling annual conference Sept. 25-26 in Baltimore, Md. The first was titled "The Economy and Beyond: Implications for Professional Practice." The second was "Creative Partnerships to Benefit Students: Two-Year and Four-Year Institutions." Daniels also is starting her third year on the NACAC current trends and future issues committee. More than 5,300 college admission and high school guidance counseling professionals attended the conference.
Kia Jane Richmond (English) presented "Best Practices in English Language Arts: Writing/Grammar Strategies for High School English Teachers" at the fall educators' conference sponsored by the Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency. The conference was held Oct. 9 in Marquette.
