Learning Experiences

In the Classroom

Designed for working professionals, our courses in the MBA program are taught by faculty in the College of Business.  Classroom instruction is supplemented by visiting business practitioners who provide valuable perspectives and important networking opportunities. View the curriculum.

Online

Students in the online program can expect a majority of their coursework to be delivered in an online synchronous manner, real-time courses taught by our College of Business faculty.  Students log in at the same time, via Zoom, in order to interact with their faculty and classmates.  Synchronous online courses are designed for working professionals as each course meets one evening per week.  Several courses in the program are delivered asynchronously in an internet-based learning environment.  

Graduate Assistantships

The NMU College of Business maintains two graduate assistantships for students enrolled in the MBA program. Not only does this paid position look great on a resume, it is also an opportunity to make useful connections in the local business community. There is one position available. Learn more.

I'm currently on the hunt for my post-grad job, but I plan to stay in the Escanaba area with my husband. I'd love to have a position working in marketing, human resources, or public relations - although right now, I'm open to any opportunities that might come my way. My MBA has made me feel confident in my overall business knowledge, and I'm willing to take on new challenges.
