Alumni and friends are invited to virtually join President Brock Tessman for a special 125th-anniversary edition of Northern Now on Tuesday, February 18, at 7 p.m. Eastern. During this memorable event, President Tessman will explore NMU’s rich history alongside esteemed guests with deep ties to the University.

As a part of PEAK25, NMU’s Sustainability Advisory Council will be hosting a Campus Sustainability Summit on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The summit will take place at Jamrich Hall & Hedgcock Atrium from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

NMU will host a "Pop-in Concert" by the Superior String Alliance Chamber Players in Reynolds Recital Hall this Tuesday, February 18 (12-12:45pm). Performers will include Adam Hall (cello), Dr. Barbara Rhyneer (violin), Danielle Simandl (violin) and Dr. Theresa Camilli (piano).

NMU's Annual Student Technology Innovation Award Applications

The Student Technology Innovation Award Recognizes students' creative use of technology and innovation in their academic disciplines. The purpose of this award is to identify and reward exemplary students who have utilized innovative technologies in their specific subject areas at NMU.

Rebecca Heidenberg is the 2025 Juror. Heidenberg is a curator, filmmaker, and co-founder of the Minneapolis gallery Dreamsong, which, beyond an exhibition program, participates in art fairs, including Frieze Los Angeles, Expo Chicago, and The Armory Show.
