Check Your Offer

  1. Log in to your MyNMU account with your User ID and Password
  2. Click on the Financial Aid tile or search Financial Aid on the left-hand side.
  3. Select "Award Offer" tab to view your aid offer. 

Check for Offer Adjustments

  1. Log in to your MyNMU account with your User ID and Password
  2. Click on the Financial Aid tile or search Financial Aid on the left-hand side.
  3. Select the "Award Offer" tab to view your offer.
  4. Select the "Notifications" tab to view your active messages to view the reason for the adjust to your aid.

Check for Required Information

To Check for Unsatisfied Requirements 

  1. Log in to your MyNMU account with your User ID and Password
  2. Click on the Financial Aid tile or search Financial Aid on the left-hand side.
  3. Scroll down to Unsatisfied Requirements section on the Home page
  4. Click arrow for additional information

To Check for Active Messages

  1. Log in to your MyNMU account with your User ID and Password
  2. Click on the Financial Aid tile or search Financial Aid on the left-hand side
  3. Select the Notifications tab to view your active messages

E-Consent Decision Instructions

Before you can view your Financial Aid Offer, you will be given the option to opt-in to E-Consent. To do this:

  1. Login to your MyNMU
  2. Select the Financial Aid tile
  3. Under the Home header, the E-Consent panel will ask you to opt in or out of digital communications with the Financial Aid Office. Select your decision and submit.

To Accept/Decline Your Federal Direct Loans

  1. Log in to your MyNMU account
  2. Click on the Financial Aid tile or search Financial Aid on the left-hand side.
  3. Click on Award Offer
  4. Follow the directions listed under You have aid which has not been declined or accepted
  5. To make any adjustments after you have accepted or declined please email fao@nmu.edu
  6. 1st time borrowers only—go to Home | Federal Student Aid to complete the Loan Agreement (MPN) and Entrance Counseling

View your College Financing Plan

The college financing plan contains information about your cost of attendance and financial aid awarded in a standardized format, which facilitates easy comparison with other higher education institutions.

  1.  Log into MyNMU
  2. Click on the STUDENT SERVICES tab
  3. Choose Financial Aid – Information
  4. Choose Federal Shopping Sheet
  5. Select aid year and submit
