NMU students presented
papers, most coauthored by Randall Jensen (HPER),
at the American Society of Biomechanics Upper Midwest Student Regional
Meeting in Minneapolis in November. They included Robert Bowen,
Brock Jensen and John Lawrence, graduate students in exercise science;
and Jason Rolling, an undergraduate studen in sports science.
Papers were titled "Effects
of added wieght on power output and heart rate: treadmill versus
on road cycling," an independent research project supervised
by Jensen and written by Bowen and Jensen; "Reliability of
peak vertical drop jump forces" by Lawrence, Jensen and Rolling;
and "Calibration of a Nordic camber gauge," by Rolling
and Jensen.
