Mission

The Mission of the Future Leaders Summer Program is to develop Leadership and Entrepreneurial skills for our youth participants. The Lac Du Flambeau Tribe is commitment to utilizing numerous hands-on activities, tools, skills and knowledge of local entrepreneurs and leaders to inspire our youth participants to join the next generation of community leaders and entrepreneurs.  The decisions we make today have consequences that lie in the future...

Our Vision

The ultimate intent of this program is that the entire reservation economy will benefit in the future from today's educational investments in our young people.

The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians believes that by fostering leadership and entrepreneurial skills within our youth, we will spearhead the revitalization of the individual enterprise within the reservation.  As an additional benefit, youth participants will take part in leadership and community service activities that will promote civic and cultural responsibility.

See Today's Warriors Leaders and Entrepreneurs video clip for highlights of the 2006 program.   Funding was provided by the Administration for Native Americans Grant No. 90NA7843.  The DVD was produced by Northern Media Center, University of Wisconsin - Superior.
