NMU students make lifelong friends and create lasting memories throughout their college years. 

All-In Academics: Northern students are deeply involved in real-world scientific and creative research, professional conferences, and educational community service from the start.

Students have the option of choosing their preferred on-campus housing with various layouts and residence halls to choose from. 

There are plenty of study areas around campus including The Lodge, attached to The Woods residence halls. 

Students with a meal plan have access to The Northern Lights Dining Facility on-campus as well as meal exchanges and dining dollars that can be spent at many other locations. 

Students pass time in between classes out in the academic mall hanging out with friends, preparing for class, and soaking up the sun. 

Northern students experience all-in academics and community support from their peers, faculty, and staff.

Northern Michigan University has achieved bronze-level Bicycle Friendly University status. There is a trailhead on-campus that guides students around the Marquette community and trails. 

NMU students can attend athletic events for free and show off their school spirit!

Our students can be found hiking and adventuring the Marquette area within just a few minute's drive from campus.

Students and their families explore the Marquette community on Family Weekend during the Fall semester. 

NMU students go on to work at companies like Pixar, Google, Apple, IBM, the Chicago Cubs, General Motors, the National Park Service, and more!

Student feel supported in their academic, mental, emotional and physical health through a variety of health and wellness programs and departments across campus. Including the Wildpups who visit campus several times through out the semester.
