Kenzie Jackson

Meet Kenzie Jackson, a Public Relations major and Communication Studies minor from Oconto Falls, WI. Kenzie plans to graduate in 2026.

I chose NMU because of the small campus and class sizes. NMU's campus is a warm, welcoming community that I love being a part of. We also have the most beautiful campus year-round! Nothing compares to a cozy snowy day or a dip in the lake on a warm August day in Marquette.

I chose my major because I love working with people and businesses. I also enjoy creating content and working with people to achieve their goals!

I think it's really interesting that PR majors are required to complete an internship. We get to create and customize the internship to our individual needs. This opportunity helps individuals grow and learn more about the field.

I'm involved with lots of things! I am a member of PRSSA, and I recently became the secretary. I also am apart of Delight's on campus women's ministries group. I also work at the Fit zone and in the Marketing office as a student assistant. All of my experiences through Northern have been rewarding. Each opportunity has helped me grow as a student and as a person.

To me, being a Wildcat means being apart campus and taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.

I found my sense of belonging by trying new things and immersing myself into lots of different clubs and activities on campus. Reaching out to people and making connections has also played a huge part in finding my sense of belonging.

I would tell them how much I enjoy my time here and how much I've grown as a person so far!

NMU is a great place to be!
