Family Weekend

What is family weekend?

Family Weekend is a time for you to feel a part of your student’s college experience at Northern Michigan University. The schedule of events includes a variety of activities for your family to enjoy, and also allows for informal time with your Wildcat. Attend some or all at your own pace!

When is family weekend?

Family Weekend takes place every fall semester, usually in October, just in time for fall colors and comfortable temperatures. The exact dates for the weekend are announced in the early summer.

How do we participate in Family Weekend?

To participate in any of the weekend's activities, simply show up! We're so excited to welcome you to campus. For overnight accommodations, we recommend you contact the local hotel/motel of your choice as soon as possible, as rooms fill up fast.
