CH 215 Chemistry of the Elements 4 cr.  (3-0-3) Descriptive chemistry of elements and their compounds with relation to the periodic table. Emphasis is placed on chemical behavior, bonding and structure as well as spectral, thermodynamic and electrochemical properties. Laboratory work consists of the synthesis and characterization of common elements and their compounds.
