The course is designed to expand the student’s knowledge of transcultural health care through the study of cultural practices and patterns relative to health and illness among groups of people. Emphasis is on identification of ways in which health care assessments and interventions may be modified to accommodate racial and cultural differences of clients and their families within the American culture.
