Introduction to Writing and Grammar

In this introductory writing course, students will develop basic skills for writing sentences and short academic paragraphs for different purposes. The course will introduce students to the basic rules of grammar and help them increase their grammatical accuracy which they will be expected to demonstrate through meaning in their own writing. In addition, this course will help students increase their ability to use spelling, punctuation and formatting rules correctly. Students in this course will engage in the steps of the writing process, including drafting and revising at an introductory level. Finally, students will collaborate with classmates to complete a variety of assignment types.
