Legal Civil Rights Movement of the Deaf Community

This course explores the origins and development of civil rights movement throughout the 19th to 20th century with special emphasis on civil rights litigation of the deaf community. The course will examine closely on civil rights of deaf community when disability rights advocate gained more visibility and state/federal laws and programs began to focus on civil rights issues of the deaf community.
