ED 410 Legal Rights and Services 2 cr. An introduction to the legal system, terms and definitions impacting special education. Abuse, negligence, discipline and confidentiality as well as exclusion and disclosure are studied. Federal and Michigan mandates that apply to special education are examined as they impact programs for students with special needs.
