Students will also develop verbal skills needed to participate in daily activities. Instruction will focus primarily on the development of fluency in the student’s spoken communication, but will, in addition, emphasize accuracy in production at an introductory level. Students will develop and practice new strategies for listening to and comprehending social and academic conversations and spoken text on various topics. In addition, students will prepare and deliver modified presentations on topics of interest and culture throughout the course. They will collaborate with classmates to complete a variety of assignment types.
