CLS 100 Obtaining a Blood Specimen 1 cr.  (3-0-2) A course designed to teach any interested student phlebotomy skills by venipuncture and dermal puncture methods. Lecture topics include infection control, safety, ethics, communication, specimen processing, selection of anti-coagulants, order of draw, prioritizing requests, complications and accidental needlesticks.
