The Plastic Injection Technology certificate program is suspended. New students will not be accepted into the program at this time.

This program is designed for entry-level positions in a manufacturing company. The courses are drawn from offerings in the Engineering Technology and Occupational Studies Departments. The courses specifically address the needs of manufacturing companies. This curriculum is intended to develop a specific knowledge base so students will have the skills and experiences necessary to secure employment upon graduation.

The Ironwood Plastics option specifically prepares students to work for this Iron Mountain, Mich., based company.

Students must have a minimum grade of ā€œCā€ and a grade point average of 2.25 for all major courses and minor programs.

*Students seeking participation in the Ironwood Plastics Internship must take the following courses as electives: IT 150 Industrial Practices I (2 cr.), IT 151 Industrial Practices II (2 cr.) and one of the following: DD 202 Product Design and Development (4 cr.), DD 203 Industrial Drawing and Design (4 cr.) or WD 140 Introduction to Welding (4 cr.).
