This interdisciplinary general education course covers a wide range of fundamental mathematical concepts and techniques that will be useful for informed citizens in a data-drenched, information-laden society that is being driven increasingly by science and technology. The primary focus of the course will be on preparing students to use analytical skills and quantitative reasoning in a principled manner in the process of identifying, formulating, and solving a multitude of frequently encountered real-world problems.
