Designed for students who wish to get a liberal education but with significant content on sociological perspectives relating to social structure, social institutions and social inequality.

Students majoring in sociology in liberal arts must earn at least a "C-" in any sociology course counted toward the major and achieve at least a 2.50 cumulative grade point average in all sociology courses (NMU and transfer).
