Introduction to Construction Design

Students will work under supervision in a hospital environment with a concentration in adjusting and monitoring mechanical ventilation on critical care adult and neonate patients. Students will incorporate diagnostic information to guide decisions regarding ventilator management of critically ill patients. Critical thinking skills will be used to prepare cases for clinical care conferences.
The basics of programming interactive video games in a general purpose language. Topics include: animation, user interaction, event loops, 2D & 3D coordinate systems, perspective, sound, and networked multiplayer environments.
A required workshop for students enrolled in EN 109, Intensive College Composition. Students will participate in weekly, faculty-supervised, tutor-led workshops. All grading and arrangement of workshops will be done by the faculty member.
This course provides the time, coursework, and support necessary for students to develop their writing skills over a sustained period of time with tutorial assistance. Students will write, read, and discuss paragraphs and essays about significant subjects. During the semester, each student will generate a minimum of 5000 words of college-level writing.
Notes:A grade of “C” or higher is required for successful completion. A grade of “B” or higher is required to enroll in EN 211.
Technology from an eastern perspective, with a focus on innovation, alternative energy, and other sustainability technology. Studies concentrate on unique challenges and opportunities experienced due to cultural beliefs and customs distinct to non-western societies.
Focus on issues, topics affecting first nations women of yesterday and today. Notable first nations women will be explored along with multiple concepts including: relationships within tribal communities, spiritual health and survival of tribal nations.
An introductionto Native American beadwork styles from various regions and time periods. The course blends reading and lecture with practical application of Native American beadwork. Content includes American Indian arts and crafts law.
A multidisciplinary course that focuses on creating global awareness, enhancing research skills and providing international career exploration.
This is an introduction course for convex sets and functions. The main emphasis will be on the theory of subdifferential calculus and the applications to convex programming problems and duality theory in convex and nonconvex optimization.
