Financial Management II

FIN 352 Financial Management II 4 cr.

Financial decision making in the modern corporation; issues include capital budgeting, capital structure, dividend policy, working capital management, corporate reorganization and liquidation. Lectures, problem solving and case studies will be used to stimulate and reinforce learning.

Financial Management I

FIN 351 Financial Management I 4 cr.

Financial management of corporations; management of short, intermediate and long term funds; capital structure; securities markets; and financing growth and development; emphasis is on interpretation of financial accounting measurements.

Personal Financial Management

FIN 224 Personal Financial Management 4 cr. Development of practical solutions for routine problems faced in personal financial affairs. Major topics to be discussed are tax return preparation, tax planning, insurance, property, consumer credit, financial institutions, investing and other current topics. Notes:

This course is not intended for finance majors.

Senior Project I

ET 431 Senior Project I 1 cr.

A problem-based course that provides students with an opportunity to focus on a specific design or engineering problem. Initial proposals, strategies and timelines to complete the project will be completed in this course. Appropriate project management is stressed. Engineering ethics in relation to product design will also be explored.

Testing and Data Acquisition Techniques

ET 410 Testing and Data Acquisition Techniques 3 cr.  (2-0-2)

An instrumentation-oriented course that uses a graphical programming language in the data acquisition process. Students will analyze, design and implement instrumentation systems for development-based testing, in which students perform measurements and experiments in an effort to answer a hypotheses, or to improve a product. Emphasis is placed on sensors, analog to digital conversion, and test planning.
