An introduction to the major principles of biology. Topics include chemistry of life, structure and function of cells, heredity, evolution, and ecology.

Biological Science

BI 100 Biological Science 4 cr.  (3-0-2) Study of fundamental concepts of biology that relate to problems confronting individuals and society. Topics include the scientific method; human dependence on other organisms; problems related to food production, human reproduction, inheritance and disease; biological implications of modern technology; and biological problems likely to confront society in the future. Notes:

May not be applied toward a major or minor in biology.

Radio and Television Utilization

BC 485 Radio and Television Utilization 2 cr.  (1-0-2) Introduction to the process of producing radio and television programs. Includes production planning and operation of equipment. Designed for those who desire a knowledge of the use of media for application in other fields. Laboratory experience under faculty supervision. Notes:

May be repeated for credit.
