Notes:

May be repeated for a maximum of eight credits. For theatre and entertainment art majors/minors this course must e taken four times for a total of four credits.

Entertainment Arts Management

TH 456 Entertainment Arts Management 4 cr. Aims and objectives of theatre management including selection of a theatrical season, advertising and publicity, box office procedures and audience development. Stage management and production organization. Production management and the scheduling and coordination of the production process. Individual offerings will emphasize either facility/season management or production/stage management.

Theatre in Perspective: The Stratford Festival Stage

TH 385 Theatre in Perspective: The Stratford Festival Stage 3 cr.

An interdisciplinary, interactive approach to four or five plays that will be performed at the Stratford, Ontario, Theatre Festival. Students simultaneously enroll in TH 493 Field Studies, will also be able to view these same plays in performance at Stratford.

Theatre History 2

TH 361 Theatre History 2 4 cr.

Study of theatre history from 1700 to the present. Topics include the evolution and social context of theatre in the various periods; playwrights, plays and dramatic conventions of each period; and production styles and methods.
