Chronological study of music literature, and its development in Western civilization from ancient music through the Renaissance period.

A course designed to introduce students to musical notation software programs. Students will be introduced to intermediate to advanced skills using Finale and Dorico software. A basic understanding of music notation and musical terminology is required.

A course exploring the music, personal lives, production techniques, social ramifications, and technological impact of The Beatles. In addition to increased appreciation for the music itself, students will increase their comprehension of the social, economic, political, and cultural upheavals that gave rise to the musical trends of the Sixties.

All music majors must reserve 1-2 p.m. Fridays for the Department of Music Forum. This zero-credit course features student recitals, seminars and studio classes, and it also provides a mechanism for grading concert attendance.

Notes: Required for music majors. The course is repeated until seven “S” grades are achieved.

Introduction to organic chemistry laboratory techniques including reaction methods, recrystallization, extraction, distillation, chromatography and spectroscopy.

Credit cannot be earned in both CH 220 and CH 315/CH 317.

ET 203 National Electrical Code 2 cr.  (2-0-0)

This course will provide an overview of the National Electrical Code. All common calculations using the code will be covered including sizing conductors, transformers, motors and conduit installations.
