SW 415 Addictions: Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention 4 cr. Alternative conceptualizations of addictions such as alcoholism, the impact of alcohol abuse on the individual, the family and social relationships. Skill is developed in recognizing situations in which alcoholism is a factor and in selecting appropriate intervention strategies.
