CH 525 Advanced Organic Chemistry I 3 cr.  (3-0-0) Modern theoretical aspects of physical organic chemistry. A survey of structures and reactivity of organic compounds in light of current concepts; resonance and molecular orbital theory, aromaticity, bond orders and energies, dipole moments and geometry, methods for determining reaction mechanisms, nucleophiles and electrophiles and a study of the mechanisms of typical organic reactions.
