EN 507 Advanced Writing Theory 4 cr. A study of the major developments in writing theory which are most directly related to nonfiction and technical writing. Students investigate a variety of writing genres and theoretical means for better understanding those genres. This course provides a foundation for the kinds of writing graduate students will undertake in graduate writing workshops.
