CH 452 Biochemistry II 4 cr.  (4-0-0) A course designed to follow Biochemistry I, emphasizing metabolic processes and exposing students to current biochemical literature. Topics include the biosynthesis of lipids, amino acids, nucleic acids and the study of gene expression and protein synthesis. Abnormalities in metabolic processes that result in disease will be considered.
