ED 615 Literacy Programs and Policies 2 cr. Historical, pedagogical and political influences on decisions affecting literacy instruction in schools. Current policy decisions and mandates at the local, state and national levels. Examination of how to make policy and program decisions while considering diverse student needs, varied stakeholder viewpoints and external mandates.
