I want to share a beautiful story that has it's beginning at Northern Michigan University over 50 years ago. You have heard of forever friends, but we are forever-over-50-years friends! We have shared the happy and sad times in our lives with each other and have built an unbreakable bond of friendship. We are stronger friends because we are there for each other, always.
My name is Ann (Lindholm) Mayer, '76 BS, '79 MA. The dear friends I am talking about are Kathy Joseph, '76 BME, '81 MME, and Linda (Green) Larvin, '76 BS. Linda and I met in Meyland Hall in the fall of 1972, our freshman year. The following year we moved up campus to West Hall and met Kathy in the fall of 1973. That is when the adventures, stories, and good times started.
Through the years we have traveled to visit each other. Kathy lives in Grand Junction, CO, Linda lives in Houston, TX and Ann lives in Okemos, MI but our visits did not stop there. We have traveled across the country together, taking trips to locations of interest and fun. To name just a few: Zion and Bryce National Park, working at Best Friends animal rescue and refuge in Utah, New York City, New Orleans, Hawaii, Rose Bowl parade, Branson, MO. and S Padre Island, TX. Our latest adventure took us to the Canadian Rockies. We were in Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise area & Jasper. The enclosed pictures show us in Banff. In the picture L Kathy, Middle Ann, R Linda.
